Seeding

Before you can publish a bracket, you need to seed the teams. Go to Brackets → Seeding to assign seed numbers to each team in a division.

Seeds are typically assigned based on pool play standings. The system shows current pool play standings to help you assign seeds accurately.

Bracket types

For divisions with enough teams, DugoutIQ supports a Gold/Silver bracket format — top seeds advance to the Gold bracket, lower seeds to the Silver bracket. The bracket type is determined automatically based on team count and division settings.

Publishing

Once seeded, click Publish Bracket. This makes the bracket visible to coaches, parents, and fans on the public tournament page.

Push notifications are sent to users following teams in that division when you publish.

Advancing teams

As games are completed and scores entered, bracket advancement happens automatically based on game results.
